Arthur are delighted to be partnered with an excellent reinsurer in London who are looking for an M365 Engineer to join on an initial 6-month contract. 

As a Microsoft 365 Engineer (SharePoint) your focus will be on providing technical expertise, rapid response, and adaptability to address urgent situations and high-pressure work environments. While you may have less direct ownership, you will be accountable for delivering effective solutions and collaborating with the team to ensure the successful resolution of complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, assess business needs, and contribute to strategic plans for SharePoint design, deployment, and optimisation.
  • Provide technical expertise in Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Power Platform, and related technologies, to support escalated issues and critical incidents.
  • Assist in the configuration and customization of Microsoft 365 services, utilizing tools like PowerShell, Power Automate, Graph API, and Microsoft 365 admin center, to meet business requirements.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of information architecture, site collections, content types, and collaboration workflows within Microsoft 365.
  • Collaborate with the team to define and enforce governance policies and procedures for Microsoft 365 services, ensuring data protection, information lifecycle management, and compliance.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of Microsoft 365 security controls, including data loss prevention, threat protection, and access management, in collaboration with the security teams.
  • Support migration projects, providing technical assistance for transitioning on-premises and cloud systems and data to Microsoft 365. Participate in assessing dependencies and coexistence scenarios.
  • Collaborate with the team to seamlessly integrate Microsoft 365 services with other enterprise systems and applications, ensuring interoperability and an exceptional user experience.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and contribute to resolving performance, availability, and connectivity issues in Microsoft 365 services.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 services, administration, configuration, and customization. Experience with tools like PowerShell, SharePoint Designer, and Microsoft 365 admin center.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security and compliance features, including data protection, information rights management, and data loss prevention.
  • Experience supporting migration projects to Microsoft 365, including familiarity with migration tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to contribute to resolving complex technical issues in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across various technical skill levels, including non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances, ability to make prompt decisions, and remain composed under pressure.
  • Strong documentation skills to provide clear and concise explanations of technical information and project updates.
