Management Accountant – Reinsurance | Cheltenham | Hybrid (2 days office based) Budget: £38,000-£45,000 (depending on exp) Must be available to start within 4-6 weeks!
Arthur Financial are exclusively supporting a UK based reinsurer with the search for an experienced Management Accountant to join their close-knit finance team based in Cheltenham. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven business at the heart of making UK flood insurance more accessible and sustainable.
The Role: Working alongside the FP&A Lead and wider finance team, you'll play a key part in management reporting, forecasting, reforecasting, and supporting decision-making across the organisation. This is a broad and varied role combining classic management accounting with elements of business partnering and operational support.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing monthly departmental reports and contributing to the quarterly finance board packs
Supporting with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles
Assisting with VAT returns, expense reporting, project finance tracking, and bond trade reconciliations
Partnering with teams across the organisation to resolve ad-hoc financial queries
Supporting regulatory compliance, internal process documentation, and investment tracking
What we’re looking for:
Part-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a strong foundation in management accounting
Confident Excel user with good communication skills
Insurance sector experience is desirable, but not essential
SUN Accounting experience (desirable)
IFRS17 experience (desirable)
