Arthur is delighted to be partnered with a global market leading insurance firm who are looking to grow and expand their London claims team by bringing on board a Marine Claims Handler.
As a Marine Claims handler, you will be responsible for handling claims that occur out of the business’s Marine classes. You will be responsible for the full claims process from initial notification to settlement within your assigned authority limit. Working in partnership with senior handlers/claims management whilst maintaining the highest standard of technical file handling and customer service. Your Responsibilities:
Manage, assess and adjust assigned claims, ensuring that coverage is accurately assessed, and file reserving is correctly set and maintained
Proactively manage claim files ensuring all documentation is correctly filed and claims are regularly updated and diarised
Ensure that claims are handled promptly, fairly and with integrity in accordance with the company’s claims management guidelines
Maintain high standards of communication with claims management and underwriting to ensure that information on significant claims and claims trends is shared expeditiously
Ensure large loss information and large loss reports are shared promptly
Liaise with brokers, stake holders and policy holders as required
What You Need:
Previous marine claims handling experience is essential
Knowledge of ECF2
Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of Insurance and related issues through formal and informal learning/exams
Ability to prioritise and organise workload and meeting deadlines
Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external customers
