Arthur is collaborating with a Global Insurance Provider who is hiring an Operations Assistant to join their team.
 
This role will play a key part in supporting the operational and administrative processes of our UK Insurance Operations team, with a specific focus on ceded facultative reinsurance administration. Working closely with the Technical Insurance Operations Lead, this role requires strong technical and analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operations Lead in monitoring financial and operational controls.
  • Ensure timely, accurate submission of facultative and inwards data.
  • Review and interpret contracts including certificates, slips and binders.
  • Analyse reinsurance structure, layering, and ceding hierarchy.
  • Record premium allocations accurately in financial systems.
  • Reconcile facultative data with ceded reinsurance accounting.
  • Maintain records and track tasks in internal systems.
  • Manage shared mailbox and respond to queries.
  • Liaise with underwriting, brokers, and reinsurers.
  • Assist with due diligence on policy data and documents.
  • Chase Underwriters for missing documentation.

 
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one years’ experience in a technical or operations role within (re)insurance.
 
Strong knowledge of reinsurance processes, excellent organisation and communication skills are essential. Experience with systems such as SAP FS-RI, Genius, Guidewire, and ImageRight is a plus.
