Operations Team Leader

Arthur is exclusively partnered with a London Market Insurer who is hiring an Operations Team Leader to support their Head of Underwriting Operations.
 
This role will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective operational support across the business, with a particular focus on underwriting and claims operations. An exciting opportunity to take a leading role in driving operational change, enhancing existing processes, and supporting the implementation of new systems that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
 
In this role, you will:
 

• Support business leaders and operations in developing capabilities that support strategic aims
• Design and manage effective operational processes in collaboration with internal teams and outsourced partners
• Oversee third-party service providers to ensure efficient daily operations
• Strengthen current controls and introduce new measures to enhance risk management
• Develop meaningful management information and reporting, including trend and root cause analysis
• Implement interim tech-based solutions ahead of long-term system rollouts
• Work alongside the Change team to embed business processes into strategic technology platforms
• Promote and maintain strong risk management practices across daily activities
• Support audit engagements and ensure timely resolution of any resulting actions
• Ensure all operations comply with relevant policies, regulatory standards, and risk frameworks

 
The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in London Market operations, with a strong focus on process improvement. Ability to lead operational change, work effectively with both internal teams and external partners, and enhance overall performance. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are key, along with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
