Arthur is working in partnership with a leading Lloyd’s Syndicate to recruit an Operations Team Leader to join their growing team.
 
In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee a team of Underwriting Assistants and Delegated Authority Administrators, supporting multiple lines of business.
 
You’ll streamline operations, enhance team performance, and ensure first-class support for underwriters.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team delivering high-quality service and expertise.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, reviews, and staff development.
  • Prioritise and allocate workloads to meet business demands and SLAs.
  • Serve as a systems and process expert, driving improvements.
  • Review and enter underwriting submissions; manage pre-modelling requests.
  • Process policy data and endorsements within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintain data accuracy through regular exception report management.
  • Communicate deadlines and progress to stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and audit-ready workflows.
  • Resolve quality and contract certainty issues through root cause analysis.

We’re looking to speak with individuals who bring experience in underwriting operations, along with a background in mentoring, training, and supporting junior team members.

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, coupled with a solid understanding of underwriting systems and processes.
