Pricing Actuary -- £100,000 - £120,000
Specialty Insurer - City of London

Arthur have partnered with a highly respected specialty insurer to introduce a Pricing Actuary to their well-established pricing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing pricing processes as well as developing and communicating detailed pricing analysis.

The successful candidate will be a newly/post qualified actuary with GI pricing experience. A candidate with Lloyd’s and/or London Market specialty pricing or reinsurance experience would be desirable. A candidate with Python and/or Tyche experience would be very desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and deployment of pricing models.
• Performing and communicating detailed pricing analysis
• Maintaining and developing pricing processes.
• Utilise your passion for coding to support the Model Development Team.
• Utilise knowledge of the market to successfully adapt pricing techniques.
• Ability to simply complex topics and communicate findings to colleagues and senior stakeholders.
• Implement and improve the pricing model.

 
From you they are looking:

• Newly/post qualified actuarial analyst with pricing experience.
• Actuarial analyst experience in general insurance.
• A numerate degree achieving a 2:1 or higher.
• Proficiency of software e.g. R, Python is desirable
• Experience in Tyche, ResQ and or Tableau is beneficial.
