We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join a well-established Lloyd’s syndicate.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge of pricing and analytics in a highly respected, progressive, and forward-thinking environment. You will be responsible for delivering insight to inform pricing decisions and contributing to the development of pricing structures and strategies to maximise growth and profitability.

The successful candidate will establish an excellent working relationship with underwriting teams across the business to ensure their long-term support for technical pricing concepts and pricing tools.

We are looking for a part qualified candidate with actuarial pricing experience in general insurance. A candidate with Lloyd’s/London market experience would be valuable. Experience of using actuarial software such as Radar, Emblem, ResQ, SAS, Python, R, SQL, Excel, VBA would be advantageous. The desirable candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical problem solving abilities and a passion to learn and develop.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong working relationships with the other pricing actuarial analysts and underwriters.
  • Provide pricing support across multiple lines of business.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of technical pricing models.
  • Assist with the parameterisation of the internal model.
  • Utilise knowledge of the market to successfully adapt pricing techniques.
  • Ability to simply complex topics and communicate findings to colleagues and senior stakeholders.

From you they are looking:

  • Part qualified actuarial analyst.
  • Actuarial pricing experience in general insurance.
  • A numerate degree achieving a 2:1 or higher.
  • Lloyd’s/London market experience would be desirable
  • Experience of using actuarial software such as Radar, Emblem, ResQ, SAS, Python, R, SQL, Excel, VBA would be advantageous.
