About the role: Lead strategic underwriting initiatives across our global operations. Manage underwriting programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide strategic guidance to senior management.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement underwriting strategies aligned with company goals.
Manage large-scale underwriting programs, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
Collaborate with underwriters, claims professionals, and IT specialists.
Advise senior management on underwriting practices and market trends.
Build relationships with stakeholders and support business development.
Mentor and coach junior underwriting/project professionals.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Programme Manager, preferably in the Lloyd's of London market.
Some experience as an underwriter is highly favourable
Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, regulations, and practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Relevant educational qualifications in insurance or risk management.
