Project Manager - Business Change

The details

Posted:

Project Manager - £70,000 – £80,000 | Hybrid | London Market Insurance Experience Required

We’re working on a unique opportunity for someone who wants to truly grow their change career in a role that mixes project coordination, stakeholder management, and hands-on delivery.
This is a rare chance to work directly with an experienced change leader on a high-impact programme of work that’s about to kick off across the entire business. Think process efficiency, enhancements, software implementations, and smart change—not just big bang IT projects.

Why this role exists The business is on the brink of a major transformation programme involving almost every department. They’ve already laid some groundwork with contractors and hybrid roles, but now they’re ready for a dedicated person to support, shape, and roll out structured change—project by project, process by process.

The Role This isn’t a traditional PM role. It's more dynamic than that.

You’ll support the business in delivering cross-functional projects, working hand-in-hand with a Business Analyst to bring ideas to life. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating change projects end-to-end (big and small)
  • Setting up and running project governance (using ready-to-go templates)
  • Managing timelines, risks, and plans
  • Supporting workshops and ensuring everything runs smoothly
  • Engaging with stakeholders across all business functions
  • Helping track actions, minutes, and follow-ups
  • Contributing to change comms and internal rollout plans
  • Keeping everything aligned, updated, and on time

You’ll need to be hands-on, personable, and genuinely interested in how businesses operate—not just focused on process or tech.
You’ll work closely with:

  • Change Lead
  • The Office Management & MI team
  • The Applications Manager
  • A hybrid Business Analyst who’s moving into a more formal BA role
  • Stakeholders across underwriting, operations, and more

You must have some understanding of London Market Insurance—how an MGA works, what underwriting is, and the day-to-day workings of a specialty insurer.
What they offer

  • £70,000 – £80,000 DOE (top end for the right person)
  • Hands-on mentorship from senior leadership
  • A growing business where you can shape your path
  • Hybrid working (typically 1-3 days in office depending on team needs)
  • A flat structure with real autonomy and exposure

Career progression As the programme scales, your role will too. Whether you lean toward change, project delivery, or operations, there’s room to shape your future and develop into a senior PM or change lead over time.

Interview Process Two stages:

  1. First stage: Virtual or in-person  (competency-based)
  2. Final stage: Face-to-face (team intro & deeper discussion)
