A reputable Lloyd's business is recruiting a Reinsurance Technician for their Outwards Reinsurance team based in the City of London. You will report to the Reinsurance Manager who is well regarded as an excellent manager and reinsurance expert. You will have autonomy in this role to lead outwards reinsurance accounts receiving outstanding training & development from the Manager and business.
Candidates will be actively encouraged to pursue their ACII qualifications.
Role Duties:
- Responsible for identifying, calculating and accounting for recoverable claims
- Identifying and servicing run-off and legacy accounts
- Issuing large special settlement requests as required
- Supporting and collaborating with Underwriting, Reserving, Finance, Claims teams
- External communication with Brokers and Reinsurers to advise and secure settlement of premiums and recoveries
- Monitoring and managing aged debt in area of responsibility
- Provide assistance with facultative, proportional and excess of loss processes as required by the team
- LORS and USM processing
- Responsible for special projects as requested by RI Operations Manager
