Arthur is delighted to be partnering with our client on this role. This role sits in one of the world’s largest specialty insurers based in the Lloyds market. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly sought-after business as a reporting accountant.
Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Accountant to complete the reporting requirements for the Insurance Company and European entities, ensuring that is right first time and on time.
  • Support period end reconciliations, which are important independent checks on the quality of the company’s financial information
  • Build relationships with local Expense, A/P, Technical Operations, Treasury & Tax teams to better understand the quality & accuracy of US GAAP transactional processing
  • Assist the Senior Accountant to improve processes by identifying and communicating opportunities to enhance work or address process breakdown
  • Embrace & support changes needed to provide superior service for customers
  • Working with the Senior Accountant, support investigatory efforts to provide clear and adequately detailed commentaries on company monthly financial statements

Skills and requirements  

  • Part qualified or Newly qualified accountant with experience in US GAAP and non-technical accounting
  • Knowledge and experience of insurance accounting preferable but not required
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with US reporting is a benefit, as is exposure to SAP.
