The Syndicate arm of a well known insurer is looking for a Reserving Actuary to join their team in London. This position reports into the Head of Reserving and comes with support from more junior members of the team. Initially, there will be no direct reports but this will come with time, and with further growth.
The main responsibilites of this role include oversight and responsibility for the whole reserving process for one Syndicate, and the mentorship of the junior individuals within the team.
The ideal candidate will be nearly or recently qualified with prior reserving experience in a London or Lloyd's capacity, preferably in commercial or specialty lines. Those with exposure to IFRS17, capital modelling or pricing will be well suited to this position as it will give you a well rounded oversight and understanding of the business as a whole.
