Risk Actuary

Arthur is pleased to be collaborating with a global insurance firm specialising in speciality (re)insurance who are seeking a Risk Actuary to support their Head of ERM.
 
The risk function is a well-established, highly regarded team across the firm and the role has become available due to a promotion internally.
 
An excellent communicator with a strong quantitative risk or actuarial background within the London Market would be well suited to this position.
 
 
Responsibilities include: 

• Undertaking high quality actuarial analysis, managing deadlines, and effectively delivering projects to supporting the effective running of the risk management department
• Development and maintenance of Risk Appetite Frameworks to ensure alignment to the business’ strategy
• Close liaison and collaboration with CAT & Exposure Management, Underwriting and Actuarial teams
• Supporting the production of the ORSA reports,
• Designing and conducting Stress and Scenario Tests and deep dive risk analysis of relevant risk types
• Review and challenge of the business plans from a quantitative perspective to support the strategic business planning process and risk management activities.
