An excellent role reporting and working directly with a top Head of Risk is one of the most recognised brands in the Insurance industry. As the Risk Manager your primary role revolves around fostering the development, implementation, and integration of a robust risk management framework and culture within the organisation. This entails a range of activities including:
Conducting assessments of the risk register, control effectiveness, operational loss events, and emerging risks.
Contributing to risk reporting and undertaking project work as outlined in your responsibilities.
Assisting the Head of Risk Management in executing the annual risk activity plan and meeting deliverables.
Continuously monitoring and evaluating risks documented in the risk register to identify top risks, potential new risks, and emerging threats.
Collaborating closely with business stakeholders to ensure that key controls are well-designed and functioning effectively to mitigate identified risks.
Conducting risk training and awareness initiatives on behalf of the Risk team as needed.
Participating in the review of the risk management framework to ensure its alignment with the evolving needs of the business.
Skills Required
Demonstrated experience in risk management, ideally supported by relevant qualifications.
A thorough understanding of the general insurance industry, with preferable familiarity with Lloyd’s or the general insurance market.
Strong report writing skills, with a track record of preparing reports and presentations for review by senior management or the Board.
Broad knowledge of Solvency II regulations.
A comprehensive grasp of the current risk management landscape, along with awareness of key developments in risk management best practices.
