About Us: The Risk Manager role is an integral part of the Commercial Risk Team, functioning as a first line risk function fully integrated within the business. Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Risk Manager to join our team and bring expertise and knowledge to support, direct, and influence the risk management practices within the Commercial division. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and improving risk processes, management information, and insights to enable effective risk identification, assessment, management, monitoring, and reporting. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior managers and their teams to embed the enterprise risk management framework (ERMF) within the Commercial business.
Continuously assess the effectiveness of risk management practices through relationship management, control, MI, and process reviews.
Provide expertise in risk management practices and methods to support effective risk identification, assessment, management, monitoring, and reporting within the Commercial division.
Define and improve risk processes, management information, and insights to enhance risk management capabilities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment with risk management objectives.
Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements to drive continuous improvement in risk management practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, CRM, CFA) preferred.
Proven experience in risk management within the financial services or insurance industry.
Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to a diverse audience.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
