Overview:
We're supporting a specialist insurer in hiring a driven and technically strong financial accountant to join their Financial Reporting team. This is a key role within the UK insurance entity, providing full oversight of quarterly and annual reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of quarterly group reporting deliverables to group 
  • Lead preparation of annual statutory accounts, manage auditor queries, and ensure all technical reviews are addressed
  • Deliver accurate financials for the regulated insurance entity, with full end-to-end reporting responsibility
  • Support year-end audit process and ensure timely sign-off of accounts
  • Liaise across the wider finance team and key stakeholders within the group

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), ideally with post-qualified experience in industry
  • Previous experience in insurance or financial services preferred
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting
  • Comfortable working independently and driving processes through
  • Open to candidates from audit (Big 4/top 10) with strong client-facing experience in FS or insurance
