Arthur is pleased to be partnered with a globally renowned top-tier insurance broker, ranked among the top 10 largest worldwide who are looking to further expand and develop their London team by bringing on board a Senior Claims Technician.  
 
The main duty entails aiding in broking and processing Binding Authority and Open Market Claims, requiring candidates with Claims processing expertise, familiarity with Xchanging Claims systems, and adherence to prescribed protocols. Successful applicants will assess claims data provided by Insureds, Cover holders, and External Vendors, ensuring alignment with contract terms and company procedures during processing.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of claims administration efficiently and professionally
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve claims-related matters
  • Validate submitted claim bordereau and referrals to ensure accuracy and completeness of provided data prior to forwarding to Capacity Carriers.
  • Process claim bordereau, referrals, and cash calls via Xchanging's Electronic Claims File (ECF) system, promptly entering claims details into OpenTWINS.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to facilitate timely payment of claim bordereau and cash calls, keeping clients informed of anticipated settlement timelines.
  • Update claims movement and non-cash collection details on the ECF system and maintain accurate Claims information.
  • Communicate any overdue account collections or claim-related concerns to the London Head of Claims for appropriate action.

What You Need:

  • Extensive experience in General Insurance/Reinsurance claims, ideally within the London Market, with familiarity with London market systems
  • Experience in the Casualty space, more specifically FL/PL and Marine cargo/transportation
  • Competency on ECF/CLASS, internal broker systems, Excel, Power BI and DMS
  • Able to learn and take on new tasks quickly and use own initiative to explore possibilities before raising queries
  • Can demonstrate the ability to work in a busy office environment, prioritise and organise workloads in order to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail in producing high quality output and to maintain this under pressure
  • Proactive, showing initiative when completing tasks by pre-empting issues and proposing solutions for them
