Senior Data Engineer - £100,000 per annum - London (Hybrid)
A London market Insurance organisation is currently searching for an established Data Engineer to join their tech team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring seamless data integration, and supporting the analytics and reporting needs of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement data solutions to support business objectives.
Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to ensure data accuracy and reliability in analytical projects.
Utilize cloud-based data solutions in Azure to build and maintain a scalable, reliable, and secure data ecosystem.
Create and manage task automation using PowerShell, enhancing data engineering workflows.
Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolution to ensure data quality and integrity.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in SQL and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend, Informatica, or similar).
Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions, particularly in Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge of maintaining and optimizing online reporting tools, with a focus on Power BI.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and data management.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and data architecture.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders and convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
