A leading Insurance firm based in the heart of London, requires a Qualified Accountant to join their successful and rapidly growing Finance team on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic and broad-focused team, looking not only at supporting the Financial Controller with the core Financial Reporting, but also business partner with senior stakeholders across the firm.
Key Duties:
Manage the detailed financial reconciliation
Prepare P&L and balance sheet reconciliation packs
Responsible for the financial lead in various transitional workstreams
Work with senior stakeholders in multiple workstreams, including non-finance, to resolve queries and challenges
Must be a creative and proactive problem solver.
Ad hoc projects and requests from Directors, Financial Control etc.
Qualifications & Expertise:
Qualified or Recently qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CiMA)
Lloyd's Insurance / General Insurance experience highly desirable
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to produce high quality work within agreed deadlines
Ability to manage expectations of Senior Managers, Directors and external stakeholders
Communicates in a clear and practical manner, both verbally and in writing
