Arthur is excited to be collaborating with a prestigious Lloyds Syndicate as they search for a Senior Marine Claims Adjuster to join their already successful and highly regarded team based in the heart of the Lloyd’s Insurance market.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for claims emanating from the Marine book of business on both Syndicate and Company platforms. The main classes being Cargo and US Trucking along with Fine Art and Specie.
The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be handling claims from across global jurisdictions which includes US, UK, Europe and rest of the world exposures. The role is within my clients First Party team which is responsible for managing claims from our Property, Construction, Aviation, Bespoke, Marine and Political Risk/Credit books of business.
Your Role:
Manage, adjust and assess claims within your own defined authority
Establish file strategies and settle claims in accordance with policy terms
Ensure large / complex claims are identified and escalated to claims management
Comply with internal procedures, Lloyd’s Principles and all regulatory and statutory requirements relating to claims handling and company procedures
Attend market claims meetings in person in a lead or follow capacity
Regular engagement and providing claim support to the underwriting team, actuaries and claims management, including but not limited to claims specific information, trend analysis, pre-inception & renewal data / insights
Understand and adhere to KPI targets / performance measures
Handle other First Party based claims as required
Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Proven marine claims handling experience in the Lloyd’s & London Market
Demonstrating technical expertise in Marine claims and policy interpretation
Able to immediately handle a diverse range of claims and responsibilities
Experience of managing large / complex and catastrophe event claims
Track record of managing Lawyers, Loss Adjusters and other vendors
Proven ability to work with senior management, claims/legal professionals, other insurers, brokers, affiliated companies, or clients
