A well-established insurer is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join their Retail Pricing Team (Home + Motor). This is an exciting opportunity to lead New Business and Renewals projects across Direct or Intermediary business, driving benefit from Price Optimisation with consideration to business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of value adding Price Optimisations, including Monitoring the performance of Optimisation. Design, maintenance and improvement of optimisation structures to improve business outcomes in line with stakeholder objectives and project management of supporting analysts.
Investigations of customers’ responses to price variations via impact analysis and scenario modelling
Competitor Analysis and understanding Market activity
Representing pricing in trading committees through supporting to key stakeholders and being clear on P&L targets
Peer review of own and others work, coaching & mentoring junior colleagues
Experience:
Experience in general insurance pricing
Data Science skills and experience of machine learning algorithms using open source statistical packages R and Python preferable.
Optimisation, Emblem & Radar or similar pricing software experience is desirable.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand impact of trading decisions.
Strong competency with SAS or SQL.
