Arthur is excited to be collaborating with a prestigious Loyd's Reinsurer as they search for a Senior Reinsurance Claims Adjuster to join their already successful and highly regarded team based in the heart of the Lloyd’s Insurance market.
In this role, you'll take on an integral position managing Loyd's, London and International reinsurance claims, within the Loyd's Syndicate. The role includes undertaking external client facing work, building relationships and active participating in market.
It is ideal for individuals with a background in UK Motor, Property & Casualty Treaty claims who aspire to advance their careers in a top-performing company.
Your Role:
Investigate initial claim notifications, including coverage verification and associated checks for both proportional and excess of loss contracts across multiple lines of business
Ensure reserving is valid and appropriate
Maintain electronic claims files and validate settlements
Regular interaction with underwriters, pricing and reserving actuaries to present claims trends, account performance, significant exposures and updates on claims initiatives
Handling complex claims and disputes, including liaison with brokers, legal representatives, and clients
Attendance at market review meetings and participation in market forums, always promoting the best interests of the business
Quarterly monitoring of claim exposures working with class underwriters and the actuarial team to ensure compliance with reserving policy
Establishing and maintaining adequate reserves and IBNR.
Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Proven success and experience in a reinsurance claims team, including knowledge of UK Motor, Property and Casualty reinsurance claims
Proficient in London Market Systems ECF 2 and IMR.
Must be confident, with a desire to meet new people and undertake external facing work including client audits and market meetings.
Commercial judgement required to progress technical/complex reinsurance claims/disputes
Ability to analyse coverage under reinsurance contracts.
Strong organisational and mathematical skills
Ability to provide clear written reports and analysis of losses and account performance
