Arthur are proud to be partnered with a leading Managing Agent as they look to add a Senior Reinsurance Data & Counterparty Analyst to their Reinsurance Team.
The team is primarily responsible for providing effective oversight of their managed syndicate's reinsurance planning and programmes and you will be be expected to take ownership of the syndicate's reinsurance data and counterparty management as well as play an important role within the oversight of proposed reinsurance plans.
Main Responsibilities:
Work with the Head of Reinsurance to review and monitor syndicates’ reinsurance strategy and purchasing plans and oversee the management of the reinsurance asset.
Work with the Head of Reinsurance to oversee contract and counterparty management and ensure this is effective.
Work with the Senior Reinsurance Manager to enhance processes to improve data collection mechanisms, data quality, reporting and monitoring of reinsurance MI.
Enhance reinsurance reports and analysis for key stakeholders (Exec, Syndicate Boards, RISC, governance committees).
Work in conjunction with syndicates and the Risk Team to monitor and report against reinsurer quality and concentration risk appetites.
What you need to have:
Experience working in an outwards reinsurance discipline ideally in the Lloyd’s / London market.
Understand the impact of reinsurance across underwriting, profit and capital and the associated risks.
Understand counterparty management and the associated risks.
You will be experienced in analysing and manipulating reinsurance data to increase understanding, mitigate risk, and support oversight.
Competent MS Excel user – Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups etc. – or similar.
