Software Development Manager - £80,000 - 100,000 - Fully Remote
A London-based Insurance organisation is currently searching for someone to manage various IT teams across the company while they currently undergo a large-scale transformation. The ideal candidate must have good experience and knowledge with Python, Typescript and Javascript, as this is the tech stack that the Developers currently use.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team, ensuring the implementation of best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
Drive the adoption of agile methodologies, ensuring efficient project management and delivery through effective use of resources and prioritization.
Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and implementing appropriate strategies to mitigate risks and ensure successful project outcomes.
Essential skills:
Proven experience in managing and leading software development teams.
Strong technical background and expertise in software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
Proficiency in Python, Typescript and JavaScript.
Strong communication skills.
