Solution Architect with excellent communication skills and cloud experience required by global insurance and reinsurance organisation.
The role is paying £90-100k per annum, with an excellent benefits package and hybrid working arrangement (2 days per week in the office).
The Solution Architect will ensure internal or external vendor technical teams understand the proposed solution architecture and have a clear framework and ongoing guidance from which to develop solutions. Experience in insurance, particularly global (re)insurance and/or Lloyd’s or London specialty insurance markets, or financial services will be highly advantageous.
Role responsibilities:
Lead on architectural design of new technology solutions, ensuring that the design aligns with the overall architecture vision
Author or oversee production of solution architecture documentation ensuring it is comprehensive, clear and maintained
Present solution designs at the Technical Design Authority and take ownership of resulting actions and recommendations
Support the Enterprise Architecture team with the continuous development of technical standards and best practices, leveraging industry standards to continually improve processes and techniques
Work collaboratively with IT Application and Infrastructure teams to ensure that technical dependencies between new and existing solutions are identified and planned for
Key skills/experience required:
Experience as a Solution Architect or similar technical solution design role (preferably in Financial Services/Insurance industry)
Experience having designed scalable, resilient, and secure solutions
Good knowledge of and evidence of exploiting at least one major Cloud platform for the delivery of cloud-native solutions (e.g. Azure, AWS or GCP)
Knowledge of common enterprise application and integration design patterns, exposure to and experience working with structured architecture approaches (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
Experience with enterprise application integration strategies and related technologies (e.g. Azure Integration Services, Mulesoft or Boomi)
Microservice-based/API-centric architectures
TDD, BDD, Unit Testing

The role will be hybrid working, with 2 days per week in the office near Liverpool Street. Salary range £90,000 to £100,000 per annum plus strong benefits package.
