Interim Solvency II Reporting Specialist – 6-Month Contract | £650 per day (Inside IR35) Location: North West (Manchester / Birkenhead) – Hybrid, 2 days per week on-site.
We’re working with a leading international insurer who are looking for an experienced Interim Solvency II Reporting Specialist to take ownership of their Solvency II and regulatory capital reporting process. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, process discipline, and the ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced environment.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of Solvency II returns in line with regulatory frameworks and wider international reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end Solvency II reporting process with minimal oversight from the Capital Reporting Manager
Prepare, review, and submit QRTs, SFCR, RSR, and other Solvency II regulatory deliverables across multiple entities
Manage timetables and trackers to ensure reporting deadlines are met under both local and group-level frameworks
Work closely with Group Finance, Risk, and Actuarial teams to reconcile data, validate outputs, and ensure compliance with internal governance standards
Support capital reporting under international regimes, helping to align Solvency II with wider regulatory requirements (e.g., Bermuda, IFRS 17, or equivalent frameworks)
Maintain and improve complex Excel-based reporting models and templates – including manual manipulation, reconciliations, and validation processes
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the reporting cycle
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in Solvency II reporting within the insurance sector (life, non-life, or reinsurance)
Strong understanding of Solvency II QRTs, SFCR/RSR processes, and Pillar 3 reporting requirements
Familiarity with international capital or regulatory frameworks (e.g., Bermuda, Lloyd’s, IFRS 17, or similar) is highly desirable
Advanced Excel skills – confident working with large and complex datasets, including manual adjustments and reconciliations
Excellent time management and ability to work independently to tight deadlines
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance, actuarial, and risk functions
Proactive and self-starting approach with a continuous improvement mindset
