As a Tax Insurance Advisor, you will act as an independent intermediary on behalf of clients such as investors, funds, private equity firms, banks, and corporations. You will not be commissioned by insurers, but will work exclusively in the interest of your clients—providing strategic advice, structuring insurance solutions, and managing relationships across all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities:
Trusted Intermediary - Strategic and impartial link between clients, their advisers, and insurers. You’ll translate complex tax issues into terms accessible to underwriters.
Tax Risk Assessment - You will evaluate tax risks presented by clients to determine their insurability, based on legal, factual, and jurisdictional analysis, involving Tax Due Diligence.
Policy Structuring & Negotiation
In depth technical support - specialised knowledge of tax law to assess both legal and factual tax risks, interpret contracts and transaction structures
Market Co-ordination & Underwriter engagement
Claims management - you will support clients in asserting their rights under the tax insurance policy
Required Skills:
Ideally, you are a German certified tax advisor (Steuerberater)
3–6 years of experience in tax law and tax risk analysis
Strong understanding of M&A transactions and insurance structures
Ability to interpret complex tax scenarios and legal documentation
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Experience working with international clients and cross-border transactions
