My Lloyd's Market Insurer are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Syndicate Financial Reporting Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in the preparation, production, reconciliation, and submission of Syndicate .reports. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and reconcile technical journal entries for the Syndicate within specified deadlines.
Generate monthly Syndicate profit and loss (P&L) statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist in the monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the Syndicate as per established schedules.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of dataflows and dependencies to support GL population and financial reporting.
Aid in the preparation of Lloyd’s regulatory returns, including Solvency II reporting, ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s Byelaws.
Analyse Lloyd’s Returns data thoroughly prior to submission, addressing queries and incorporating responses in accompanying commentary.
Monitor Lloyd’s bulletins and Q&As to identify necessary changes for incorporation into Lloyd’s Returns.
Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary information as requested.
Contribute to continuous process improvements
Monitoring Syndicate liquidity and enhancing short-term cash flow forecasting
Managing Syndicate and Group bank accounts and mandates.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Proficiency in insurance accounting, including Lloyd’s reporting requirements.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA (first-time mover from Big 4 with Syndicate clients included)
Experience in the Lloyd’s Market
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Critical thinker with the capacity to question data accuracy proactively
Excellent communication skills.
