We’ve been exclusively mandated by a growing established Reinsurer on the search for 3 Syndicate Accounting professionals to join the business in newly created positions to strengthen and build out their syndicate finance team.

The roles are varying in level and will report directly into the Financial Controller who is currently responsible for the overseeing the Syndicate and managing the relationship with the Managing Agency.

This is a fantastic opportunity for talented individuals with strong technical Lloyd’s and regulatory reporting experience who are ready to embark on a new challenge where you will get to instantly add value through transforming their reporting processes along with utilising your existing syndicate accounting knowledge to ensure accurate and timely reports are achieved.

Responsibilities in the role will include;

  • Design and build the systems/analysis tools/spread sheets to extract data from underwriting and financial systems and upload into the core market returns.
  • Production and delivery of all Lloyd’s returns and other applicable financial regulatory and compliance returns in accordance with the Lloyd’s and FCA/PRA etc timetables.
  • Completion of US / CAD trust fund returns.
  • Assist in production of Syndicate and related entity financial results and annual report.
  • Assist in production of other annual reports and accounts for associated Everest syndicate companies.
  • Designing and implementing key controls over the financial reporting process.
  • Undertake project work including development of new processes and implementation of change.

You must be;

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Excellent knowledge of Lloyd’s and FCA/PRA financial reporting
  • Demonstrable experience of building processes and developing systems from scratch
  • Depending on your level, proven experience of managing individuals
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
  • Possess excellent communication skills and enjoy partnering with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient with Excel and GL systems

Salaries will vary for each role depending on your experience and level.
c£80k-£130k + discretionary bonus, benefits and hybrid working.
