We're on the lookout for an experienced Systems Engineer to join a well-established and growing technology team supporting a global insurance and risk solutions provider. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of business-critical applications and infrastructure, with plenty of scope to improve systems, automate processes, and embrace emerging technologies like containerisation and Linux-based systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintain and monitor Windows Servers and IIS web servers
  • Deploy websites and APIs using Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Monitor and analyse logs in IIS and Windows Event Viewer
  • Work with SQL ServerCosmos DB, and MongoDB (basic SQL experience required)
  • Manage tickets and tasks using Azure DevOps Boards
  • Support the transition from classic pipelines to YAML and GitHub Actions
  • Use Git to navigate and understand application code, mostly written in C#
  • Automate tasks using PowerShell and Azure CLI
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve with tools like Seq and Dynatrace
  • Collaborate closely with QA teams, developers, and infrastructure colleagues
  • Experiene in Kubernetes is highly 
  • Stay ahead of the curve with new tech – from Linux to containers and beyond

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer/Admin role
  • Deep knowledge of Windows OS and IIS
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOpsGitYAMLPowerShell, and Azure CLI
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and other database systems
  • Experience with diagnostic tools such as Seq and Dynatrace
  • Basic understanding of C# and networking fundamentals
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM/ticketing tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated, curious, and adaptable to new challenges
