Underwriting Analyst

Arthur has partnered with a leading Specialty (Re)insurance company to recruit an Underwriting Analyst for an exciting graduate opportunity.
 
In this role, you will have the chance to cultivate your insurance skills and gain valuable exposure to every aspect of the underwriting process. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve providing crucial support to the underwriting teams through:
 

• Collaborating with various technical function teams, including Exposure Management, Pricing and Portfolio Optimization.
• Monitoring the performance of the insurance portfolio by tracking key metrics, identifying areas of concern, and proposing appropriate actions.
• Utilising data sources to gain insights into the risk characteristics of transitions or specific classes of business.
• Conducting research and analysis on potential transactions, including evaluating the risk and return characteristics of potential deals.
• Establishing a robust data infrastructure and ensuring the efficiency of data processes.
