Underwriting Operations Analyst

My client is a specialty (re)insurer at Lloyd's, underwriting a diverse range of Property, Commercial and Speciality (re)insurance products.
They are recruiting for an Underwriting Operations Analyst to support the Underwriting Operations Manager on a permanent basis. You will be helping the team in achieving operational performance and process excellence.
 
As an Underwriting Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of operational processes, resolving issues related to the Policy Administration System, and maintaining the integrity of underwriting and operations data. Additionally, you will partner with outsourcing providers on query management, SLAs, and quality checks and support the wider operations team in optimizing processes.
 
The ideal candidate will have a background in data entry processing or data validation investigation, with an emphasis on identifying and resolving issues. Experience with Sequel UW/Eclipse or other Policy Administration Systems is an advantage. Additionally, strong data and analytical skills, and a passion for investigation and troubleshooting are essential.
 
This role will be based in London and will be a mix of remote and on-site working.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and confirm the correct value of data and ensure it is updated and query closed
• Partner with outsourcing providers on query management, SLAs, and quality checks
• Ensure the quality and integrity of Underwriting and Operations data
• Support the wider operations team to optimize operations processes
• Liaise with underwriters, brokers, and other interested parties to address and resolve operational issues
• Support ad-hoc projects and other work items at the request of Operations team management

They are looking for: 

• 2-3 years London market Syndicate experience
• Provided support in either data entry processing, or data validation investigation, with an emphasis on fixing as well as identifying the issues
• Technical knowledge of London Market systems and key reports
• Attention to detail and a passion for investigation and troubleshooting
• Strong data and analytical skills
