Arthur is partnered with a Global Underwriting Leader to hire an Underwriting Operations Manager to join their London office.
This role will report directly into the Head of Operations, and you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless functioning of the underwriting operations function. Your primary responsibilities will involve overseeing support services for all third-party lines of business.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure the delivery of high-quality underwriting support services within agreed services level for various lines of business.
Manage day-to-day operations of the UK & Ireland underwriting business unit, ensuring control of underwriting, premium, claim and reinsurance process.
Oversee performance, reporting, and escalation of all service providers.
Ensure compliance with frameworks and regulatory requirements are met.
Adhere to business timetables, facilitating effective communication with other departments and meeting reporting deadlines.
Generate operation reports, metrics and statistical data for various stakeholders.
Implement operational efficiencies through common systems, practices and procedures.
Co-ordinate administration support for underwriters.
Develop and maintain a staff development program.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including underwriting staff, brokers, reinsurers and regulators.
Deputise for the UK & Ireland Head of Operations when required.
We are looking to speak with individuals that have a proven track record in overseeing 3rd party lines of business, particularly in the Casualty space.
You must have a background in operations management at either a Lloyd’s Managing Agent or Insurance company to be considered.
