Arthur is delighted to be partnering with a leading MGA in their search for an experienced Underwriting Operations Manager.
This role is critical to the smooth running and growth of the business, combining operational leadership, strategic input, and continuous improvement initiatives within the underwriting function.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee underwriting operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and a high standard of service delivery.
Monitor London Market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to keep the business competitive and compliant.
Produce monthly and quarterly KPI metric packs and provide ad hoc management information reports to senior leadership.
Analyse underwriting performance data, delivering insights and strategic recommendations to management.
Drive operational change management initiatives, defining new processes and ensuring business readiness for new products, systems, and technologies.
Lead capacity meetings and participate in business strategy sessions to align operational goals with company objectives.
Collaborate closely with technology and underwriting teams to maintain and enhance platforms, policy administration systems, and reporting tools.
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across existing and new business processes.
Champion initiatives to eliminate workflow inefficiencies and improve productivity and service delivery across the business.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in MGA operations and Lloyd’s market experience, with a deep understanding of underwriting processes across multiple specialty lines.
