Underwriting Oversight Manager

Arthur has partnered exclusively with a leading Lloyd’s Syndicate in the search for a dynamic Underwriting Oversight Manager.
 
In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving and enhancing the first line of defence for Underwriting Controls, taking charge of the Underwriting Management function. Collaborating closely with the CUO and other senior stakeholders across the business.
 
Key responsibilities:
 

• Provide regular reporting on underwriting controls, exceptions and breaches.
• Manage the effectiveness of underwriting processes, ensuring robust governance and controls while actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Facilitate peer reviews in alignment with established policies and procedures.
• Strengthen underwriting processes through identification of training needs, ensuring adherence to high standards and performance with authorised limits.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from Lloyd’s, FCA PRA and regional regulatory bodies.
• Uphold adherence to Conduct Risk and Product Oversight Frameworks.
• Manage underwriting legislative requirements.

 
We are seeking candidates with previous experience in underwriting operations or underwriting management.  Additionally, applications from Senior Analysts aiming to progress to the next level will be considered.
