We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an Underwriting/Pricing Analyst to join a well-established Lloyd’s syndicate.

This is a front facing role where the successful applicant will have a visible position in the company, working alongside the underwriters who write business. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of departments including Exposure Management, Pricing, Claims and Portfolio Management.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience working alongside underwriters and assisting in the pricing and portfolio analysis of variety of products. 

The ideal candidate would be a strong graduate with an analytical degree achieving a 2:1 or higher, or a candidate with 1-2 yrs experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities:

• Pricing deals and working to understanding individual risks
• Working alongside the lead analyst and assisting in pricing deals and working to understand individual risks.
• Reviewing the portfolio and applying statistical techniques to assist others in understanding performance.
• Supporting the development of pricing tools and processes for the division to analyse and control its portfolio of products.

 
From you they are looking:

• A strong graduate with an analytical degree achieving a 2:1 or higher (essential).
• 1-2yrs experience in a relevant field would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of, or interest in one of more coding languages C++, SQL, Python
• Strong communication skills, where you can develop and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the business.
