Underwriting Support Team Lead

Arthur is partnered with a leading (re)insurance company who is hiring an Underwriting Support Team Lead to join their operations team.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of Underwriting Assistants, driving operational excellence and delivering support to underwriting teams across London and regional offices.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Lead and coordinate the Underwriting Assistant's to ensure efficient policy processing and alignment with business needs and SLAs.
• Oversee accurate data entry, validation, and document management across key systems.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to maintain smooth end-to-end workflows.
• Resolve underwriting queries promptly and uphold service quality.
• Coach and develop the team to drive excellence and continuous improvement.
• Track performance, report on KPIs, and ensure accountability.
• Identify training needs, support compliance with SOPs, and contribute to audits and process improvement initiatives.

 
We’re looking for someone who excels at leading people and processes to success, with proven experience managing a support team in the insurance sector. A solid understanding of insurance underwriting systems and processes would be an advantage.
