Are you a highly literate candidate coming from a Lloyd’s background looking to progress your career within a high-performing team and Syndicate?
Our client is currently seeking a Wordings Specialist to join their team. As a Policy Wordings Specialist, you will work closely with the Senior Wordings Specialist and the Wordings Manager, ensuring that all aspects of the contract certainty requirements of the Syndicate are met across all lines of business.
You will also have the opportunity to develop and advise on new products and wordings while supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.

The responsibilities of the Wordings Specialist include:

  • Drafting and/or reviewing Policy Wordings to accurately express the agreed-upon coverage.
  • Ensuring that policy forms and clauses meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date with market developments to support the organization's business units.
  • Developing and creating new Policy Wordings and clauses.
  • Providing guidance and advice to colleagues and clients on Policy Wordings.
  • Resolving contract-related queries from colleagues, Brokers, and Clients.
  • Managing and maintaining the organization's Wordings and Clause library.
  • Supporting and guiding the organisation's overseas offices.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven experience working in the Lloyd's Market.
  • A comprehensive understanding of policy wordings.
  • The capability to draft policy wordings and clauses.
  • The capacity to foster relationships both internally and externally with brokers and clients.
  • Exceptional analytical and interpretive abilities.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • The capacity to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and demands effectively.
