About the Role: Join their newly formed Wordings Team and play a pivotal role in providing technical expertise to their Underwriting Teams. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement the Wordings Strategy.
Key Responsibilities: As a Wordings Specialist, you will:
Develop and manage the wordings strategy in collaboration with the Head of Wordings and Underwriting Teams.
Negotiate and draft (re)insurance contract wordings.
Provide wordings advice, coverage insights, and exclusions recommendations to underwriters.
Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance, claims, risk, legal, and delegated authority, as required.
Liaise with the Outwards Reinsurance Manager when needed.
Deliver training and development sessions on wordings matters for underwriters.
Contribute to the development of wordings, clauses, exclusions, and new products.
Stay up-to-date with changes and developments in insurance law and practice.
About You:
Extensive experience in wordings within the London Market.
Proactive and self-starting attitude, capable of managing tasks effectively and communicating objectives clearly.
Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
Adaptability and confidence in handling diverse work requirements.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS software.
