Arthur is delighted to have partnered with a leading Lloyd's syndicate, in helping them find a Wordings Specialist to join their growing team. 
This is a really exciting opportunity as you will be able to work very closely with the underwriters. 
The Wordings specialists at this syndicate are very well respected and are considered part of the underwriting team. 

This is a market-leading specialty insurance group that operates through three underwriting platforms. 
As a Wordings Specialist, you will report to the Wordings Counsel and work closely with underwriters, operations, claims, senior management, brokers, coverholders, and other stakeholders. Your role will be to ensure that the execution of contracts and endorsements is legally and regulatory compliant. You will advise underwriters on wordings, endorsements, proposal forms, and other client and broker-facing documentation language.

Responsibilities:

• Advise underwriters on wordings, endorsements, proposal forms, and other client and broker-facing documentation language to ensure the execution of contracts and endorsements that are legally and regulatory compliant.
• Coordinate and manage the construction, drafting, preparation, review, and execution of manuscript insurance contracts and documents in support of Liability underwriting team.
• Ensure the Liability wording suite is current and up-to-date and coordinate with Wordings Counsel and General Counsel for wholesale and structural changes of the wording suite.
• Advise the Liability underwriters on a daily transactional basis on the best wordings and endorsements to use to effect underwriting intent and ensure the most current wordings from the wordings suite are used where possible.
• Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including Wordings Counsel and General Counsel, claims and underwriters in the Newline service companies, compliance, brokers, etc.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Skilled in wordings and endorsements
• Knowledgeable in legal and regulatory compliance
• Able to work in a dynamic environment
