My Lloyd's Market Insurer are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Syndicate Financial Reporting Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in the preparation, production, reconciliation, and submission of Syndicate .reports. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and reconcile technical journal entries for the Syndicate within specified deadlines.
  • Generate monthly Syndicate profit and loss (P&L) statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the Syndicate as per established schedules.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of dataflows and dependencies to support GL population and financial reporting.
  • Aid in the preparation of Lloyd’s regulatory returns, including Solvency II reporting, ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s Byelaws.
  • Analyse Lloyd’s Returns data thoroughly prior to submission, addressing queries and incorporating responses in accompanying commentary.
  • Monitor Lloyd’s bulletins and Q&As to identify necessary changes for incorporation into Lloyd’s Returns.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary information as requested.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements
  • Monitoring Syndicate liquidity and enhancing short-term cash flow forecasting
  • Managing Syndicate and Group bank accounts and mandates.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in insurance accounting, including Lloyd’s reporting requirements.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA (first-time mover from Big 4 with Syndicate clients included)
  • Experience in the Lloyd’s Market
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Critical thinker with the capacity to question data accuracy proactively
  • Excellent communication skills.
