AWS Cloud/Platform Engineer

Arthur are delighted to be partnered with a professional services organisation seeking an AWS Cloud/Platform Engineer to join on an interim basis. 

Role Overview

As a Security Cleared AWS Cloud/Platform Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing, building, and operating AWS-based multi-tenant cloud solutions. You'll leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation to create secure, scalable platforms while ensuring best practices in security, deployment, and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design complex multi-tenant systems aligned with AWS best practices.
• Build, test, package, deploy, and operate AWS landing zones.
• Automate AWS services and Cloud Platforms using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Package services into AMIs, Docker containers, or Serverless deployments.
• Champion modular and structured IaC, driving best practices in automation.
• Design cloud-native solutions using containers/microservices.
• Utilize CI/CD deployment techniques to enable zero downtime.
• Deploy container-based solutions, including ECS, EKS, and OpenShift (OCP).
• Administer and manage Kubernetes clusters.
• Enhance security within AWS and contribute to a mature Cloud Security Model.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver cloud solutions efficiently.
• Deploy and manage large-scale cloud infrastructure, including Backstage.

What We’re Looking For: Strong hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Engineering
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, OCP)
Strong understanding of AWS security best practices
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Agile/Scrum experience and a collaborative mindset
Active Security Clearance is Essential
