Arthur is working with a Specialist Lloyd's syndicate looking for a Claims Adjuster you will handle and lead the following classes of business : EL / PL / Property/ Casualty - US,International, North American business. In the last few years this well known syndicate have shown to be very reputable and highly profitable company in the insurance world.
Being part of a very experienced company where there is low staff turnover and career progression, you will have the support and training to learn and develop your skills further.
Your role will be to handle and settle claims working closely with brokers, Policyholder’s, and service providers. Ensuring prompt settlement of the files, accuracy and timeliness
The role:
To provide support to claims managers and head of claims in managing and reviewing claims files.
Proven claims handling experience in a field-based role
Agreeing and settling claims bordereux
Create and maintain claim records
Ability to work with claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategies.
Participate on internal stakeholder meetings as required.
Follow compliance with the Line of Business best practice procedures.
Completion of file management filing and payment requests
Working closely with underwriters providing feedback on claims issues/trends and the Products
Attention to detail and confidence in dealing with internal and external customers and clients
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience of handling claims
Understanding patterns and trends in the claims insurance market
Good negotiating skills
Good computer skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel), and use of ECF an advantage.
Ability to manage time, to meet deadlines and prioritise efficiently
Ability to work autonomously, as well as being a good team player
Ability to use initiative and problem solve issues as they arise
