Arthur are partnered with a market-leading global insurer in their search for a Compliance Manager.
The role involves managing and coordinating compliance activities, acting as a business partner to designated business units and/or functions. Key responsibilities include providing proactive and reactive advice, managing breaches and incidents, handling regulatory changes, liaising with regulators, maintaining the Business Compliance Framework, and delivering training.
Key Duties
Actively engaging with stakeholders to promote a strong culture of compliance across UK operations.
Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
Addressing and resolving compliance and regulatory issues
Contributing to the creation and delivery of a UK-specific Compliance Plan.
Participating in compliance and business-related projects.
Collaborating with other teams to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business initiatives.
Providing guidance on legal and regulatory obligations, internal policies, and new product or distribution arrangements.
Maintaining accurate records of compliance advice and regularly review them to identify and address emerging compliance themes or issues.
Supporting the prompt identification, reporting, resolution, and documentation of breaches and incidents.
Working with the Regulatory Services Team to maintain constructive relationships with the PRA, FCA, and Lloyd’s.
Assisting in preparing regulatory submissions, reports, and participating in meetings and reviews with regulators.
Staying informed on UK regulatory developments and share updates with the team.
Providing guidance on interpreting and implementing regulatory changes.
Maintaining records of horizon scanning activities.
Representing Compliance in relevant committees, councils, and meetings.
Supporting the maintenance of the Business Compliance Framework.
Ensuring Business Compliance Profiles and Compliance Risk Registers are documented and updated.
Assisting the Regional Monitoring Team in executing compliance monitoring activities.
Supporting the delivery of compliance training and awareness programmes, including creating and delivering briefings and training sessions.
About You
Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and the UK regulatory environment, particularly regarding Appointed Representatives (ARs) and consumer products such as Mobile Phone Insurance, Gadget Insurance, and Travel Insurance
Experience in the insurance sector and UK regulatory regimes is highly desirable.
Industry qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
Ability to work effectively in a team while managing individual workload.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain compliance and regulatory matters clearly to stakeholders.
