Data Engineer – Contract OutsideIR35 £500-£550, SQL, Python, Azure, London

An insurer with a global presence in London is seeking to hire a Data Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in their London office. You will be contributing to the development of a data platform that enables the company to effectively utilize data throughout the company by gathering and distributing it across various departments.
 
A background in Data Engineering and experience delivering data solutions using technologies like SQL, ADF, Spark, and Databricks are required for the ideal candidate for this role. This position demands a hands-on approach, as well as the ability to review and design solutions, ensure adherence to best practices and provide oversight on the development process.
 
The following skills are essential for success in this position:

• Prior experience in a Data Engineering or similar role
• Expertise in designing and implementing Azure features, particularly Analytics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including experience with SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with Python and experience with Spark is a plus.
• Background in analyzing, cleaning, migrating, and modeling data.
