Political Violence Analyst

We are seeking a recent graduate to joining an expanding International Insurance Group. As a Catastrophe Analyst you will work closely with underwriters and other internal stakeholders to model Political Violence business lines and study exposures within the Exposure Management team. 

Requirements:

• Recent graduate in Politics / Geopolitics / International Relations discipline, or genuine interest in Politics. 
• Strong understanding of Excel and SQL or other programming languages: Python, R 

Underwriting Support 

• Perform Aggregate Checks and impact of accounts against account metrics and tolerances 
• Support portfolio optimisation projects

Modelling 

• Ensure efficient and accurate capture of exposures across all Political Violence perils
• Modelling of accounts and binding authorities
• Run twice-weekly terrorism blast zones using spatial key
• Drive efficiency's in data capture and reporting processes
