We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Reserving Analyst to join a well-established Specialty (Re)insurer.

The successful candidate will perform the quarterly reserving and valuations for multiple lines of business. You will also assist in forecasting and quarterly technical provisions valuations and validations; adhering to the required standards.

We are looking for a part/nearly qualified actuarial analyst with reserving experience in general insurance. A candidate with Lloyd’s/London market experience would be valuable. An applicant with strong IT skills in Excel (essential), Res Q (desirable), Access, SQL, SAS, R would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the Catastrophe Reserving process.
• Involvement in the Large Loss Reserving Model.
• Assisting with IFRS 17.
• Assist with regulatory reporting requirements relating to Solvency II.
• Prepare quarterly reserve analysis presentations and present directly to the Board.
• Support the quarterly reserving across multiple lines of business.

 
From you they are looking:

• Part / Nearly qualified actuarial analyst.
• Experience with Solvency II is desirable.
• A candidate with Res Q would be beneficial.
• A numerate degree achieving a 2:1 or higher.
• An applicant with strong IT skills in Excel (essential) and/or Access, VBA, SQL would be beneficial.
