Arthur is currently collaborating with a Specialty Insurance and Reinsurance provider who are looking for a nearly/newly qualified actuary to join an established reserving team.
The role offers the opportunity to reserve across multiple speciality classes across Lloyd’s and non-Lloyd’s entities and includes quarterly reserving, involvement in diverse projects, and regular collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Perform quarterly analysis of technical reserves for multiple business lines.
Lead reserving projects, including process automation and line-specific modelling.
Enhance models, visualisation tools, and dashboards.
Conduct annual portfolio reviews and contribute to actuarial reports for UK legal entities.
Collaborate with claims, finance, underwriters, and actuarial teams to refine tools and methodologies.
Engage with external actuaries, auditors, and regulators.
Improve management information for Lloyd’s, PRA, and ACPR reporting.
Present findings to management meetings and reserving committees.
Requirements:
Post-qualification experience in Lloyd’s/London Market reserving.
Familiarity with GAAP, Solvency II, and knowledge of IFRS17 is advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, VBA, SQL, R, Tableau, Python, and ResQ.
Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and attention to detail.

Team-oriented and motivated to take on increased responsibilities.
