Risk Analyst

NEW ROLE !

As a Risk Analyst you will assist the Chief Risk Officer in carrying out risk-related activities and will report to the Head of Risk. This will involve substantial development of our governance, systems, processes, and controls to effectively manage the risks associated with these changes. As a result, this role will be highly diverse. The candidate in this role will be expected to collaborate and interact with all areas of the business.
 
This role is based in London and is specifically for individuals with experience in internal controls, underwriting, compliance, or audit within the insurance sector.
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management framework and processes.
• Assist with various risk management activities, including identifying, monitoring, and reporting risks.
• Help the business establish an effective control environment.
• Maintain and provide support for the GRC tool used by the business.
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and assist in reviewing the activities of key business functions such as Underwriting, Technical, Claims, Actuarial, and other areas to understand their priorities and risk issues.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Understanding of commercial insurance.
• Ability to work independently and proactively with a range of stakeholders, including senior management.
• Ability to challenge and engage with risk owners to strengthen the risk environment.
• Risk management experience, including involvement in key risk management processes such as risk and control assessments, incident management, and periodic risk reviews.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.
